Warm ups tend to take up around 10% of your session time or 30 minutes before a game. Within this time period, you want to prepare the athletes body for the demands of the session, and psychologically warm them up to prepare them.
RAMP warm ups are key in preparing the body physically to reduce the chance of injury. RAMP stands for; Raise, Activate, Mobilise, Potentiate. By doing a physical warm up it allows for the body to get more oxygen to the working muscles, therefore, it is key you include movements you will be using within the sport
This can be done in a variety of ways and most important in matches to get your participants in the correct frame of mind. This means ensuring your participants are in the correct frame of mind, using communication, quick passes, sharp on the ball. Keeping this positive allows for them to start the match "on the ball"
